Bounce Back at St Mary's School
At St Mary's School all of our students take part in the Bounce Back programme.
What is the Bounce Back programme?
Bounce Back is an award winning positive education approach to wellbeing, resilience and social-emotional learning for primary school children.
The programme is a preventive whole school social and emotional learning curriculum that has been developed to support schools and teachers in their efforts to promote positive mental health and wellbeing and, in particular, to enable learners to act resiliently when faced with challenges and adversity. The programme predominantly focuses on classroom strategies and activities that teach students those positive social and emotional skills that are “life skills” . The Bounce back programme also focuses on ways to develop the types of learning environments and teacher student relationships that help to foster resilience and wellbeing.
